Cristiano Ronaldo's pride at century of goals for Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his pride after completing a century of goals for Manchester United.

Ronaldo has now scored 101 for the champions after his double in Saturday's 5-0 victory over Stoke at Old Trafford. The landmark, and a magnificent all-round performance, is evidence that Ronaldo is now approaching his best after the distractions of the summer.
"I feel very proud," said Ronaldo, who saw his dream of a move to Real Madrid blocked by United. "One hundred goals is a great achievement. I have 101 for this club now. This is my sixth season here so I think that is fantastic."
After scoring 43 times last term, Ronaldo has reached nine this year despite being sidelined until mid-September after an ankle operation.

Five memorable goals
1) Vs Portsmouth, Old Trafford, January 2008. His trademark strike won the goal of the season award and inspired a thousand playground imitations. Striking the ball on the valve with his toe pointing straight down, Ronaldo moved the ball at great power into the top corner. David James didn't move.
2) Vs Chelsea, Moscow, May 2008. The conclusive proof that Ronaldo is no flat-track bully. This header was perfectly placed, but it's true worth was that it arrived on the highest stage of all.
3) Vs Aston Villa, Old Trafford, March 2008. Ryan Giggs' corner bobbled around the box until Ronaldo, with his typical mixture of cheek and technique, scored with a backheeled half-volley. He even smiled to celebrate this one.
4) Vs Everton. Old Trafford, December 2007. Wonderful left-foot strike after evading Lee Carsley. Ronaldo's versatility makes him so dangerous, as he is able to score goals with either foot, in the air or from free-kicks.
5) Vs West Ham, Old Trafford, May 2008. Skinned Lucas Neill with his stamped backheel trick on the touchline, then carved straight through the heart of West Ham defence to score and start Manchester United's title party.
